Here are the 7 benefits of a keto diet, along with a low-carb diet. When it comes to selecting the proper diet and nutrition for ourselves, it can be hard and overwhelming. You get unwanted opinions from friends and family, plus you’re bombarded with “buy this, buy that” ads when you look up any sort of information. Well, I’m not here to sell you anything, and I want to help you but not override your opinion. I want to give you facts. The benefits of a keto diet can be hard to understand straight out of the gate. I’ll help explain some of the benefits to you.

We all go down our own journey but finding out what our path should be is where a lot of people get snagged up. Low-Carb reduces your appetite. That’s fantastic, right?! Not only will you be spending less money on groceries, but you’ll end up with a visible change to your body. This is a trickle effect of the diet, it effects many different aspects of your journey to health. Weight-loss, inches lost, saving money on food you won’t even need to purchase. This benefit is a win-win for everyone.

helps Faster Weight-loss. That’s right, you’ll lose more weight in the beginning. What does that do? It shows you that you can indeed lose the weight, it also motivates you to continue your journey into a healthier you. You’re more apt to continue something that you are seeing actual results with.

Fat fills you up faster. Okay, so Low-Carb diets fill you up faster, meaning that you’ll of course be eating less. The reason behind this is because fat is the actual component that signals to your brain that you are satiated, meaning you don’t need more. Ever notice you can eat an entire bag of chips and still be hungry? That’s because the lower fat content vs higher carb count doesn’t signal to your brain that you’ve eaten enough. I’m not saying that you won’t get full from carbs, I’m saying you’ll get fuller, quicker, by ingesting higher fat levels.

Better Cholesterol. HDL Cholesterol is your good Cholesterol, increasing this number decreases your risk for Heart Disease, so does reducing your LDL Cholesterol. How do you adjust this level? By eating good for you fats such as, avocado, salmon, whole olive oils and coconut oils to name just a few.

Brain functioning. This can mean several things. I myself have Anxiety and Depression, the Keto Diet helped to get me off prescription medications by balancing my chemical imbalances. The Keto Diet was originally used to treat epilepsy in children, but it can be used for treatment for a few different medical diagnoses.

Lower blood sugar levels. This diet can help lower blood sugar levels for Type 2 diabetics on a drastic level. The reduction of carbs is an automatic reduction in blood sugar. When carbs are processed in your body, they are turned and stored as sugars. It’s essentially the same thing as eating just sugar.

Acne. I am 32 years old and trust me I go rounds with acne that no full-grown woman should go through. However, the keto diet can help with acne because of it lowering your LDL Cholesterol, which is just bad fats floating around in your bloodstream.
